Dr P Hari Prasada Reddy is an Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department. He obtained his B.Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering from K.S.R.M College of Engineering, Sri Venkateswara University in 2001 and M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum in 2003. He received his Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in Civil Engineering (specialization of Geoenvironmental Engineering) in 2008. He conducted research in experimental studies for the remediation of alkali-contaminated soils for his doctoral work. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Warangal in 2008. He has 15 years of experience in teaching, research and other academic works. He is an active researcher in the area of Environmental and Geoenvironmental Engineering. He has published over 85 research papers in reputed Journals and Conferences. Three scholars received doctorates, and 66 M. Tech students completed dissertation work under his supervision. Currently, 7 research scholars and 8 M.Tech students are working under his supervision. He has successfully completed two research projects: (i) MHRD funded research project on “Remediation of Acid/Alkali Polluted Soils Using Fly Ash” under research Seed Money grants (ii) DST funded research project (SB/FTP/ETA-412/2012) under ‘Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientists’ on “Fly ash to control acid/alkali induced volume changes in soils”. He is actively involved in the National Mission Project on Education through ICT - Developing suitable pedagogical methods for various classes, intellectual calibers and research in e-learning and has completed two courses on ‘Environmental Engineering’ as Principal developer and ‘Solid Waste Management’ as Co-developer. He visited University of Texas, Arlington, USA from 26th June 2013 to 25th July, 2013 under TEQIP to carry out research work in the area of Geoenvironmental Engineering. He is recipient of Young Engineer of the Year award-2011 and Young Engineering Researcher Award -2017 for his research contribution in the field of Geoenvironmental Engineering. He visited Sri Lanka (2007), Malaysia (2012), Australia (2017) and USA (2020) for presenting research papers. He is a life member of IGS, and an associate member of IEI.
