Dr. T. Kishore Kumar is currently  Professor in Department of ECE. He was Former Visiting Professor at AIT Bangkok under deputation by MHRD, Govt. of India and Former Head Dept. of ECE and Institute Computer Center, NIT Warangal.

His current areas of research include “signal processing, artificial intelligence and biomedical signal processing, Machine Learning for Speech, Image and Medical Applications, AI in healthcare”

From 1999 he was associated with NIT Warangal in the position of Assistant Professor.  Prior to this, he worked as a Technical Officer in Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Minister Office, Government of India. He is a member for Central Council Board (CCB), AIEEE during 2009-10 and Member of E & ICT Academy, NIT Warangal during 2015-17. Presently, he is a member of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

He was awarded Best Engineering Researcher Award - 2017 from National Institute of Technology, Warangal and NITW Alumni Association, in recognition of his outstanding research, consultancy, and training in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. He was also awarded Research Excellence Award-2017 by Institute for Exploring Advances in Engineering (IEAE) .

He is a member of review committee constituted by RCI, DRDO for reviewing a project of worth 160 crores. He has Completed 2 R&D Projects funded by SERB- DST worth of 50Lakhs, 2 Projects of worth 80Lakhs are ongoing and completed 3 DRDO projects worth of 25 Lakhs and 1 ongoing project worth of 10 Lakhs. Under his amiable guidance, 14 scholars have been awarded PhDs and 5 scholars are pursuing Ph.D under his guidance.

He has published 44 SCI journals and 40 international conferences during the last five years.

Dr. T. Kishore Kumar has travelled across many countries like Australia, Czech Republic, France, Israel, Singapore, Dubai, Estonia that contributed to his academic excellence.

He has organized several Faculty Development programs in and outside NIT Warangal, coordinated MHRD initiated GIAN courses and delivered several expert talks at DRDO, ECIL, JNTUH and other reputed institutions across India.

Dr. Kishore Kumar is the member of IEEE, ISTE, IETE and Senior Member of IACSIT.

He is the Member for Board of Studies in NIT Warangal, Kakatiya University, JNTU Hyderabad, and S V University. He is also a PhD examiner for NITs and several other Universities across the country.
