Dr. B. Spoorthi is an accomplished academic professional with a distinguished career  in English Language Education. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor, at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology Warangal, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She holds a Ph.D. in English Language Education from the prestigious English and Foreign Languages University (EFL U) Hyderabad. Her doctoral research focused on enhancing language learning methodologies and practices. With her in-depth understanding of the learning cycle, she excels in creating engaging and effective learning opportunities for students. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Spoorthi gained valuable experience in the corporate sector as a Learning and Development Manager. Working with renowned organizations such as ADP Inc., Knoltus Ind. Pvt Ltd., Genpact, NIIT, and HSBC, she honed her skills in curriculum development, employee training, and performance improvement. Her expertise in management training, soft skills development, coaching, and mentoring is well recognized.

Since joining NIT Warangal in April 2018, Dr. Spoorthi has made significant contributions to the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. She teaches B.Tech and Ph.D. courses, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of English language education, research writing and soft skills.

Dr. Spoorthi's research interests encompass several key areas in the field of English Language Education. She is currently involved in two funded projects: "Artificially Intelligent Virtual Lab for developing Employability Skills (AIVLES)" funded by the prestigious Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), and an institute- funded project called "Virtual Lab for improving English Communication Skills (VIRLECS)". Her research focuses on leveraging technology in language learning, Social emotional learning (SEL), content and language integrated learning (CLIL), and teacher education.

With her extensive academic and professional background, Dr. B. Spoorthi continues to make valuable contributions to the field of English Language Education. Her dedication to fostering effective learning environments and her commitment to research and innovation make her a respected and influential figure in the academic community. She has recently been nominated as an expert in the committee for the integration of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) in vocational education and training in India, by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), India.
