    Prof. Venkanna U

    Dr. Venkanna U. obtained his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT) in 2015. Since 2005, he has been in the teaching profession, and currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Warangal. Before this, he worked as an associate professor at IIITDM Kurnool from August to November 2023 and as an assistant professor at IIIT Naya Raipur from 2016 to 2023. He has 15 years of teaching and research experience. He served in various administrative positions at IIIT-NR, such as the professor-in-charge of the Department of CSE, Student Activity Center (SAC). His research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), IIoT, Software Defined Networks, Network Security, Security, and Privacy on AI models.

    He has credit for publishing 60+ research papers, including IEEE transactions and journals. Two Ph.D. degrees have been awarded under his guidance. He is currently guiding Three Ph.D. research scholars in Security issues in IoT, SDN, and Data plane programmability. He won the best paper awards at the IEEE-ANTS 2019, the 27th IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2022), and the Rank-B conference.  Also, he was elevated as IEEE senior member in August 2021. Currently, Dr. Venkanna is executing Two research projects, “Tribe Connect,” funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, as PI, and 5G-Network Management founded by IIITB COMET Foundation under NM-ICPS, DST, Government of India, as Co-PI.
